“Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence” ~ Aristotle
I’ve had the luxury of seeing a good amount of our world, some thanks to the Army and other parts on a long drive or weekend trip. One thing I have discovered is that there is almost too much to see and explore. That is why I love photography. Photography gives us the ability to capture a moment in time, a story, and I hope a feeling.
When I’m traveling or just walking around town I love to just see what is going on around me, day to day life with all of the things that make it up. Often times the places, people, and items we overlook turn out to be the most interesting. That is what I desire and hope to capture in my photography, the uniqueness of life around us. From people watching on Grant Street in the heart of China Town in San Francisco to speaking with the cows on the out skirts of Fort Worth. Life has a great story and it never gets old.
As a kid I spent my time between Northern California and the Panhandle of Texas. When people ask me where I’m from I like to say I-40. Along with twenty plus years of military service I have had some awesome experiences. But, most of all having those opportunities to see the USA and other countries have helped me to learn how to“Enjoy Life.”
After traveling around with the Army for all those years I have finally found a home. Together with my beautiful wife and three lovely daughters we have made the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area our home. I have been very fortunate to be able to do what I enjoy and love; from being a soldier to becoming a teacher and diving head first into the world of photography. Life is beautiful and reminds me quite often how interesting and sarcastic it can be. It is that in which I love and it keeps me on my toes.
My photography brings me a great deal of joy and I love sharing it with you, you, and you, as well as that person over
there.
